Marco Felix is an electronic music producer and DJ from Brazil who has a deep passion for music since he was 14 years old. He started playing drums and listening to heavy metal bands, while also being part of the Brazilian Rave scene in the early 2000s, while studying Digital Design.
Between 2005 and 2009, Marco produced and played percussion on Terra Patris, a Chill Out band that performed at festivals like Universo Paralello and Cachoeira Alta.
In 2011, he moved to Barra Grande, Piauí, a small Kitesurfing village in Northeast Brazil, to build a boutique hotel and give Terra Patris a new meaning. However, his passion for music never left him and in 2016, he was invited to play as a DJ on local house music parties and beach clubs. Gradually, Marco started sharing his attention between DJing and managing his own Atelier Posada.
In 2019, Marco took his music to the next level by studying at Ibiza’s Point Blank. During his time there, he played at Destino Pacha in Ibiza and other venues in Europe such as Minimal Bar in Berlin. After almost four months, he returned to Brazil to play at Universo Paralello’s Chill Out Stage, an experience that broadened his horizons.
Marco has played as a resident at beach clubs in Northeast Brazil and performed at the Chill Out stage at UP #16 edition in 2022/23. In 2023, Marco decided to focus full-time on his music career, doing all his graphic and motion designs. His goal is to create a live act supported by visuals of his own creation, incorporating his love of beautiful melodies and groovy beats into his sets and music production.
I started learning drums when I was about 14 years old. Enjoyed stuff like Metallica, Sepultura, Iron Maiden, Pantera, etc. I went to live in an apartment in Argentina and I ended up exchanging a Mapex double pedal for an electronic drum.
I got introduced in electronic music and Raves during my Digital Design college. I started playing at home with my brother mixing on vinis and I played sounds with effects on along the songs. Couple months after that Iasked him to teach me how to mix.
In 2005 came the idea of creating the band Terra Patris.
It was mix of acoustic / digital music, where I played drums, percussion and made MIDI production (2005 – 2009). The Band performed at festivals like Universo Paralello – BA – (12/29/2006 – Palco Alternativo) we played before Ventania (a famous “hippie musician)
At this time I was playing Psy-Trance in small parties and had played in Kraft, a renowned venue in Campinas, SP.
I distanced myself from the whole electronic music scene when I came to live in BG.
A few years later, I was suddenly invited to play at a party to cover a DJ who cancelled the day before. I quickly made a Tech House set and felt that feeling that only djs can understand; when the mix is’right’. This feeling of joy, of wanting to continue playing without worrying about time. After that I got some more invitations to play at night parties. Do you believe CDJs 100s still worked? Lasted until 2015!
in 2017, already had a calmer Deep house set to play on the beach. I received an invitation to play regularly during the late afternoon at the Kite Lounge in Barra Grande – PI. So I finally updated my equipment and spent my first season playing at least 4 hours per presentation.
Every time I played I was sure that I would have fun even if I was playing for almoust no one, also I felt that I wanted to play for an audience that really enjoys electronic music.
